Tuck Box - Carmel-by-the-Sea

Definitely a cute little breakfast spot! Makes you feel as if you are in a beautiful story book. The down side which I hope is only for a while is that they only take cash. We wanted to leave a nice tip since the staff were all absolutely amazing and friendly but since it was getting rush time couldn’t get anyone to break a 50 . We definitely will be back again , with cash but hoping by then they accept card. Food was great and obviously the location is even better !

We had a wonderful breakfast experience here as a family. We sat right in the window nook by the front entrance. Our kids loved it. The food and service were great. When we first got our food, the poach eggs and their hollandaise sauce, both my wife and I thought the portion was small but no, we were filled once we finished the food. I think it’s the richness of the sauce. Delicious.

What a cute Fairy Tale restaurant! Breakfast was yummy out on their patio. Cash only. Great service! Ask for the Fairy Tale book about the history of the buildings and other locations.

We come to Carmel every time. I must have the **** and the eggs Benny.

My husband, dog and I had breakfast at the end of October at the Tuck Box. We happened upon it the evening before (and promptly fell in love) and got there almost at the 7:30 am opening on the next day. Since it was the off season we were still the first customers, and ate on the patio as we had our little dog with us. This was the highlight of our 18 day car trip, upon which we experienced many marvelous things. Our waitress was kind and wonderful, the building is beyond amazing and the food is delicious! This was an experience we will always remember. I am sorry I can only give 5 stars, but we are traveling all the way back from Washington State just to visit the Tuck Box (and lovey Carmel) again. I can never fully express how special this experience was to us. xxxooo Pam
