Elk Ridge Restaurant Bar - Carson

We decided to stay at the nearby Carson Hot Springs resort, and this is the closest restaurant to the hotel, as it 's just up the hill on the golf course. After driving in from the city, we checked in to our room and came here for dinner. The place was pretty dead at 5:30 or so there was one table with a few ladies who were probably golfers. We sat down and I noticed one of the tables had used plates and cups on it that looked like they 'd been there for awhile. The server she was friendly, but something was just off with her. She seemed very confused as to why we asked her for a dinner menu at 5:30PM. She had this puzzled look on her face when we asked why she was giving us a lunch menu. First, she said it was because their dinner menu was being redone (whatever that means) and then she said um, yeah, we do dinner, but not today. Then she gave us some other strange excuse and tried to sell us on some lunch menu items. All the while, I waited for her to make my drink. I had asked for a rum and coke with a splash of lime juice and soda water. This request seemed to perplex her I guess that must be a super hard thing for a bartender to make. I gave up on my request and asked for just a normal rum and coke. But I never got it, because the menu situation and her constant confusion and slow service were just too annoying to make us want to stay. Plus I think she just forgot or was too confused to make it. My partner did get his drink order. He said it barely had any liquor in it. But she made sure to charge him $16 for a poorly made beverage. We left. Probably won 't come back. This place is weird.

This is a new restaurant! New chef BEST SCAMBLED EGGS I ever had. Rosemary cheddar biscuits and gravy i wanted to lick my plate. The nicest staff. My wife and I had breakfast at the Elk Ridge Restaurant during our little getaway to The Carson Hot Springs recently and we were blown away by the service. The waitresses and the cooks were super accommodating to my wife's sensitivities to certain oils and spices that she can not have on her food. It was a super cool, welcoming environment and the food was delicious. I walked away saying I am going to write these beautiful people a 5 Star review, and so it is!
