Annelore's German Bakery - Cary

Gréât European bakery with many different kinds of cakes that are not too sweet. Tried the « bee sting » cake as it is less sweet and tasted really good. It dies contain dairy though. Nice space but a but less warm atmosphere and didn’t see much outdoor seating. Gréât for take out

The hardest thing to do everytime I'm at the bakery is limiting myself on what to get. Oh the choices! I enjoyed all the baked goods from the store so just choose the ones that look good to you. They have freshly baked bread that they will slice for you (they have an illustration on how thick you want it sliced). Seasonal baked goods (such as Christmas) are available.

Very clean interior with lots of light. Great selection of pastries, cakes, and a few German beers and wines. Peach turnovers and cheese danish were on point.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Had the potato bacon cheese turnover and the blueberry kuchen, both perfectly baked and delicious. Took home a Black Russian pumpernickel loaf, crust very thick and the crumb tasted wonderful. The owner got us turnovers from the back so they would be the perfect temperature, which they were. Will absolutely be ordering a cake from here for our next big occasion

This place is a gem! Everything I ordered was fresh, tasty, and made with care. My favorites were the savory turnovers (spinach feta, potato/cheese/bacon) and the cheese danish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and patient as I took my time to narrow down what I wanted to order. Also, the space is clean and spacious. I’m looking forward to recommending it to my family and friends!!!
