Hickory Tavern - Cary

I've been here a lot. honesty is the option of 20oz to 16oz very beautiful. the weekday barkeeper is very nice. (I think her name's crist? eating is good, and all the opposite is expensive, so it is exactly what they expect.

The food was good, and the server did their best, considering the restaurant was understaffed. One of the burgers was overcooked, but the issue was resolved quickly. The cocktail I ordered was well-made. I would probably rate it three stars, but the staff really put in a lot of effort. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night.

Eating was really good! bbq huh afteros, I asked for a truthahn reuben instead of their traditional. it was ridiculously good! the teriyaki carved chicken wings were a favorite of my friend.

I've visited this restaurant several times and have enjoyed each experience. On my last visit, I tried the buffalo chicken sandwich, and this time I opted for the Woken Brunch special, the Huhn Waffelwich (see attached picture). The chicken consistently had a crispy exterior while remaining moist on the inside. The breading is well-seasoned, providing a great contrast to the sweetness of the waffle. The pepper in the crust perfectly complements the waffle and syrup. The service has been good every time, and they always have a great selection of beer on tap. It's a reasonable choice for anyone looking for a delicious meal, not just sports fans.

I was not pleased with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled wings, and when a waitress brought them to our table (she wasn’t our assigned server), I noticed she smelled the wings before setting them down, presumably to check the flavor. After I mentioned this to our actual waitress, I received a different order. There was also an issue with the fryer being out of order, which caused one of our dishes to arrive much later than expected. Although we had an attentive waitress and the management came over to apologize, the overall experience was not very enjoyable.
