I had a peach buzz which was damn good!!! We talked and really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Service was great by all. My food arrived in a swift manner and my hamburger was cooked as ordered. It was juicy, meaty and plan ole good. Baked potato was not overcooked and had my ordered trimmings. Nice dinner!
We had a reservation for a friend's 50th birthday for about 20 people however they didn't mention until we got to the restaurant that they wouldn't be able to seat us all together. They sat us all at different booths in the same area so unfortunately we weren't all able to visit together. I was concerned when I walked in because the place was absolutely dead. There were two other tables in the entire place. It was 6pm on a Sunday night so I expected there to be more people than that. No one came in after us the entire time we were there. I read the reviews on yelp and that made me see potentially why it was so dead in the restaurant. I wish I could say our experience was better than expected but it really wasn't. Strike one was that they couldn't seat us together. Strike two was that they informed us once we were all finally ready to order that they were out of baked and mashed potato as well as broccoli. That's what most of us were going to order as sides so we took a moment to change our minds. The waitress was sweet and it wasn't her fault but it's pretty ridiculous that this place ran out of two of the biggest sides and didn't offer any compensation. Their excuse was they'd been busy the night before and had run out. However I highly doubt that they were that busy because the place was so abnormally dead. The food was alright. They forgot my garlic bread so I had to wait for that. They gave my friend the wrong sides so she had to ask them to bring them to her. Also the checks came back and the waitress had put the wrong meals on the wrong people's checks so they had to be re-done. Overall, a disappointment, especially for my friend's 50th birthday. I Won't be back.
Wow! Autumn just blows me away every time she's my server!!! Not only is she swift and speedy but the other day she caught an onion in her hand WHILE in the middle of taking orders.. I was speechless. She juggles too.
I will absolutely miss this location! The bartenders (Shannon, Jessica and Johnny) have been especially awesome over these last few years. I never once had a bad experience here, maybe because if there was something I didn 't like, I let my server know so they could have the opportunity to fix it. It wasnt gourmet food, but it was always good. The place usually felt dead but its probably because the place was so huge. The biggest draw for me was that the food, drinks, and service were reliable and it was close to where I live. I 'm not sure where I will go now, but Casselberry will just never be the same.
We 've been patrons of Smokey Bones since it was a Darden restaurant. It 's in our neighborhood and we like to support local businesses. I just don 't see how they can stay in business if they don 't up their game when it comes to management. It 's as if they are operating on a bare-bones payroll. The staff seems competent but overworked. We had dinner on Father 's Day. After more than 1/2 and hour, the waitress came to take our drink order. Twenty minutes later, she brought the wrong drinks. She went back to get the correct drinks and disappeared. When she finally reappeared with the drinks, she realized she hadn 't taken our food order yet. Eventually we got our food but the quality was sub par. So disappointed. We won 't be back until we see an under new management sign out front.
