Pizzeria L'airone - CASSINO

Pizzas are huge and very tasty. Pasta also delicious.The breakfast was cold continental but so much lovely variety available to choose from.

L'Airone is a great place to eat. Our group found we could just let the host recommend whatever they had fresh and it was fantastic. As always, service was unhurried and the whole eating experience was just sublime.

I stopped several time and always have something seasonal to propose. Portions are very generous, all food is fresh and made with care. Antipasti and pasta are my favorite plates but pizza in old style oven is also great!

The owners have obviously invested a great deal in making the restaurant and the grounds inside the walls attractive. We were welcomed by a smiling lady and man and then passed over to someone less friendly who looked after us well enough but without a single smile. Food was certainly plentiful but nothing out of the ordinary and below the standard we expected from the other Trip Advisor reviews. The access road is very rough and uneven. There's was only one other table in use and they seemed to be eating things that we had not been offered. They put on a loud TV which killed what little atmosphere there might have been. Nothing terrible, nothing special, but we won't be going back. Below the average standard for this area. If you have transport and are staying near here head into Cassino for better options and spare your suspension.

Nice restaurant good service good for families outstanding fresh food. A little bit out of the way, but worth the trip.
