The Olive Tree - Castlebar

For dessert, we shared a cheesecake that was generously drizzled with caramel sauce and served with ice cream. I ordered a tea, which was beautifully presented and came with some delightful Turkish delights. While settling the bill, we had a small discussion about our order, and another staff member approached us, noting we got a good deal. However, he missed that we had actually been undercharged, and we wanted to ensure we paid the right amount. I would definitely come back, though there are so many other places to explore and so little time. We felt very comfortable during our meal and didn’t feel rushed at all. My partner particularly enjoyed all the flavors in his bean casserole with couscous, saying it was the best meal of our holiday so far—high praise indeed! I highly recommend this place.

Be sure to request the separate vegan menu. The prices are fantastic for what you receive. I had the chili, and it was excellent!

There is a pretty good vegan section on their new menu. the employees understand themselves about veganism, which is not the case in many restaurants in this opposite. they have many vegan alternatives on ready (e.g.: milk, or vegan tasty to go with a tee or coffee.)

Visited here while in the area. Impressive selection on the vegan menu. I got the kebab and it was a massive portion. The staff were nice as is the atmosphere. Would definitely go back here If back in Castlebar
