Hi-tide Beach Side - Castries

Good food, nice staff, only on the bottom is that there is a large board right in front of the beach that blocks the wind and there a lot of flies. Pulled pork sandwich hadn't pulled enough pork on it.

Fabulous food, when you can get it. Nice and friendly staff who will explain any of the dinner entrees. Restaurant is located next to the beach, literally, with a beautiful very of the sea and surrounding large lush green hills. The drinks are also good, but the rum punch can be very strong depending on the bartender (this was a plus for many people who love a stiff drink). On the non alcoholic side my kids love sipping day dreamers, a blend of frozen fruit juices. After several days of dining at this resort restaurant, things took a nosedive. On two nights we waited 60 minutes to be served, which was better than another guest who waited 90 minutes to get dinner rolls. On our last night, our server lost track of our orders and after the appetizers was ready to present us with the check without serving the entrees. (Poor service).

Happy hour not very happy but 2 4 1. To be fair and honest i was thinking that maybe on our visit to the hi tide bar, the staff were pleasant and maybe somewhat shy or new... and i feel sure that the ones responsible were made aware of there customer service or lack of it. It would not deter me from returning and hopefully spreading a little happiness of my own. cause its all the happiness that we all need .

I have never felt so ripped off for fish and chips. For 29 dollars (US) it was the smallest portion I've ever seen. Wasn't worth 10. No exaggeration. A handful of fries and 3 lousy pieces of fish. Then they tried to charge me for sides that were included on the menu. Not a hint of remorse or an apology when I pulled them up on it. Rude and probably a regular occurance. Will not be going back

Really overpriced bad food. And the service is very slow.
