Patio Drive In - CASTROVILLE

Oh my god!! Their burgers are so good!! And fries too!! We stopped by today on our way to Monterey and it exceeded so much of our expectations. It looks like a family-run burger place, warm and cute, and the people here are so nice. :D we would love to visit again on our way back. Really made our day. Thanks!

OK, first off, understand that this place isn't fancy. It isn't supposed to be fancy. It's a tiny greasy roadside burger shack. And somehow the magical alchemy they do in that cheap little kitchen keeps me coming back twice a week forever. How is it so good? Don't know, don't care.

Patio Drive-In is our favorite burger place. Sometimes we get a craving for it and nothing else will do! The signature Patio Burger with cheese and either curly or waffle fries is our go-to order, but they have all kinds of choices, even some unexpected things like a teriyaki dinner. It's easy to miss as you're driving through Castroville, but absolutely worth the visit! Thankfully we live in Moss Landing and can go anytime. Try a dipped cone for dessert!

Solid burger joint stashed in a small town. Burger was juicy, made to order and still steaming. Fries hot, could have used a bit of salt. Right off the freeway and kinda looks a bit run down but don’t let it stop you up. Seemed pretty steady with Business. Minus 1 star for the older Asian man who takes orders. Seems like an old grump. Food good tho.

Got their King Burger. Don't have a meal deal so i had to buy my fries separate but other than that all of it was fire af. Can't go wrong with a Reeses Pieces shake or even the oreo cookie. Also ordered the popcorn shrimp, some jalapeño poppers, and some cheese sticks. All in all everything was great. Dine-in was closed but everyone just eats at their cars anyway hence the name Patio Burger Im guessing. If you're not from the area or even from it you should definitely give it a try sometime.
