The Distillery Cebu - Cebu City

I did not like the place. The ambience was okay downstairs but the upstairs crowd was either dead or super alive in which you could barely breath. I almost got locked in the toilet as the lock was not properly in place. I understand that bars might not exactly have the best toilets working but they could also at least maintain the area in case people would need to use it.

Certainly not as advertised online, a very out of date drinks menu in house to boot. Staff tried to Overcharge me over 1 of only two single malts available by the nip. (contrary to menu selection of course). This place should do just fine if you're looking for somewhere to drink casually while being occasionally overcharged. But as someone who works in bar myself I can't recommend it to people who actually give a damn what they're drinking, seek elsewhere.

Warm beer! So disappointed to have ordered Chimay Bleu and it wasn’t cold. I tried telling the bar staff but they said no it’s cold (old fridge set to 4 degrees!

Thieves. The waiter took money off the table during the night that was payment from a guest who had left early. He then denied all knowledge when the bill arrived. Apparently this is consistent behaviour of this establishment according to locals.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable. It's not overly noisy or crowded, and they offer a nice variety of drinks. Although the prices were slightly higher than I anticipated, they weren't outrageous.
