Kfc - Cedar Falls

Service was great. Staff was friendly. However, the food just isn't the same KFC it was years ago. Biscuits were hard and dry, and chicken just doesn't have the same flavor. I worked at KFC 30 plus years ago when biscuits were still rolled and cut out andthe chicken was hand breaded. Gravy was made from scratch and you greeted customers with a smile...your paycheck depended on it.Not sure what happened to the recipes...over time they cut corners to make it easier, but it seems to have sacrificed the tasteand quality.

Sad to see no long John silver's anymore. We ordered the chicken strips backets meals and they were so dry and they were not good. Wanted a couple of cookies and you had to order 12. They are not baked fresh anymore, they come prepackaged. So sad ofall the changes and the staff were busy talking among themselves. Probably won't be back to the Cedar falls store.

To make matters worse, there was barely a quarter-sized dab of sauce on the middle of both buns, and I couldn't taste it at all. The mashed potatoes were decent, though; it's hard to mess those up. The lemonade was warm, even with ice in it, which was quite strange. Overall, I'm really disappointed but not surprised by the experience. I won't be returning to this location, but I might give the Waterloo one a try. Unless you're desperate and in need of the worst chicken imaginable, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I will not be returning; this was a terrible experience. The service at the drive-thru was subpar, and I didn't receive my side dishes. The food was disappointing, and I was charged more for a non-combo meal than for a combo. When I called the manager, Romel, he handled my concerns poorly. They have a motto on their wall that says to treat every guest like a friend in your home, but they failed on every level. I'm very disappointed.

The food was satisfactory, and I was pleased that the dining area was open. However, the soap dispenser in the women's restroom was broken. This is a high-priority KFC location!
