Gianna's Italian Beef - Cedar Rapids

Honestly I read the mixed reviews after I left. My experience was great! I was there at 5:30 on a Thursday and it was quiet. I ordered the Italian beef and sausage combo, wet, sweet peppers with provolone and it was AMAZING! So good I ordered a Chicago dog for round two and that was TASTY! Love this place! Food is great and staff friendly! If you can't drive all the way to Chicago for Mr. Beef this is the next best thing!

Dry Italian Beef was soooo soggy and they refused to make another one cuz Oh I know I didn 't add any extra, it 's just the juice from the meat . Again, we ordered DRY, not WET. We will not be returning. Service was poor, waited in line for 5 minutes to even be acknowledged due to catching up on orders . (2 small orders ahead of us). It got busier once we sat down and people were waiting in line to order for a LONG time. They definitely need more people, or even better a manager that doesn 't get overwhelmed so easily and with better customer service.

Stop there recently on a Tuesday afternoon, around 1:30. I ordered a Chicago style hot dog with everything. I’m from Chicago, this was NOT a Chicago dog! Chicago hot dogs are Vienna beef franks. This wasn’t! Instead of a poppy seed hotdog bun, I got a stale hoggie roll. A Chicago dog with everything should include sport peppers and a pickle, this had neither. There was only one table occupied when I was there and they were already eating, yet it took over 10 minutes to get my dog! Who ever owns or manages this place has no clue! I won’t be going back!
