Thank you Teddi Lou for your hospitality! My boyfriend and I were in town for a Getaway trip and after failing to find some good hiking areas, we stopped in to grab a treat and brighten our spirits! The jalapeño popper Kolache was to die for my cinnamon roll was literally finger licking good! Thank you again again!
Teddi Lou's is truly a hidden gem! This family owned bakery is nestled away on the corner of the downtown square of Celina. We make a one-hour drive quite often to get lunch at Teddi Lou's and to visit the local Mennonite produce market. The egg sandwiches, and tuna sandwiches, are always served fresh and the homemade island bread (made with pineapple juice) is delicious. The orange cranberry muffins are a favorite. The prices are fair and the owners are among the friendliest that you will encounter. You will not find a cleaner dining establishment in the area!
The couple here are not only super friendly but their baked items are so yummy! We had several types of kolaches, Bavarian donut(homemade filling), Tiger tail donuts , homemade cinnamon bun... All was so delicious! If you're passing by it is worth the stop! Enjoy!
We stopped in Celine for lunch on our way to Mammoth Caverns. I order jalapeños popper kolache and tortilla soup, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich on rye bread. The soups was tasty and the Mila be hit the spot, great dough and mildly spicy. My husband's sandwich was on white bread, which he did not wanted to bother the ladies for a change. The service was not personal or attentive even though we were the only people being served. I man seating at a table told us that the art work on the walls were created by his 80ish year old mother. Sweet story and nice paintings.
