Canoe And Tavern - Center Harbor

This is our favorite restaurant in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. The food, including the gluten-free options, is excellent. It’s a family-owned establishment, and you can truly feel that in the atmosphere. The canoe chips are the best we've ever had, and they also craft amazing drinks. We always look forward to our visits! I love it!

We had visited this restaurant several times, but our last experience was disappointing. The service was quite average, with the servers lacking enthusiasm. Whenever a dish was served, they had to ask who ordered what, which felt unorganized. The baked squid was particularly strange, featuring a filling that seemed to consist mainly of mayonnaise, making for one of the oddest combinations I've ever encountered. The other meals we had were just mediocre. I hope for better experiences in the future.

This was our third visit to Canoe, and it never disappoints. We brought some friends along this time, and they were very impressed. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the staff created a fun and friendly atmosphere. We chose to sit indoors this time instead of on the patio, but overall, it was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back!

Great choice to eat. variety of people who had eaten all day and everyone found a deliciously right portion. kellnerin was an experienced profi who made a great job with a bigger party. perfect end of a meeting.

Been coming here for years and has always had the reputation of good food and good service. We took 3 couples with us and while the food was good, it was not quite as good as in prior years. However, the service was terrible. This was not the waitress' fault. They were incredibly understaffed with no busperson to help the waitress service two large tables. I said something to the management, but nothing improved . I had another reservation two days later and cancelled.
