Mary's Bbq Place - Central Point

We stopped by on our way to Seattle and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. The service was excellent; it was clear that the staff takes pride in their work, and rightfully so! The barbecue was outstanding and definitely did not disappoint. As a fellow BBQ truck owner and someone who loves great food, I must say – well done, Mary!

I was excited to try the food since I usually enjoy BBQ from small, welcoming places like this one. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the smoked meat. It had an oily flavor, as if it had been smoked with Kingsford briquettes, and it left an unpleasant aftertaste that lingered for hours. It might just be the type of wood used for smoking, but it simply wasn’t to my liking.

Uber driver went there to get tri tip (dry) pulled pork (dry) ribs not available, switched to extra tri tip (dry) asked for extra bbq which was ketchup. Sad driver felt bad not her fault so gave her an extra good tip because the restaurant mishap was not her fault. Sad a restaurant that had a great name and food in grants pass would drop so quickly.

The only other place you can find meat of this quality is in the discounted bin of beef jerky at the dollar

I go here for lunch when I want to indulge myself. I always order the tri-tip baked potatoes, and they never disappoint. The spicy BBQ sauce is one of my favorite parts!
