Crab cakes appy had zero flavour but lunch special if Philly cheese steak and mushroom bisque was very good.
Staff is wonderful. Cream of mushroom soup was watery with a few mushrooms floating around and tasted like straight celery seed. My morning coffee is thicker than this soup. Cute spot tho.
Very busy, but charming lunch spot! Food was quite good and beautiful setting. I could eat here every day!Not sure how varied the menu gets, but sandwiches were good!Hope I can get back!
About 5 years ago, my husband and I had happened upon seahorses after an afternoon at Butchart Gardens. We loved it. So naturally when returning on a trip with my inlaws we were excited to go.First, the menu online on their website is not the menu onsite. They no longer serve fish chips. The soup tasted like a canned chowder. The crab cakes are not made in house. Nor presumably the fish tacos. The prices were very expensive for what you got. The fish tacos pictured were $17 for three small tacos. The garlic bread with the chowder was nice.We waited over an hour (bordering on 90 minutes) for our food. Only when I went to see what was going on was I told that they were down a cook and that they were working on our food..... almost 20 mins later our food came. They did discount our food which while appreciated didn't make up for the abysmal experience. We won't be returning. Terrible. Terrible. Such a huge disappointment from our previous visit. Night and day.
