Yamato Japanese Steak House - Centralia

A group of nurses ordered for lunch..awful.Fried rice. Just covered in oil. Flavorless. No veg.Placed my raw salmon with the fried salmon. Dynamite roll was good. The only thing that was good about this order. Gyoza was the worst I have ever had. Aldis frozen brand beats this any day.Save your money!

I had the hibachi shrimp, mushroom soup, and salad which was good. I don't know why we were seated in a booth next to a bunch of empty cardboard boxes when they were mostly empty. The waitress wasn't attentive and never brought a couple of things we asked for. My appetizer came after my meal.

Food was great, but on the more expensive side. Service was good. We only had one other group in the whole restaurant during dinner service.However, the women’s bathroom was an absolute mess…In the picture is the General Tso’s chicken and the Tempura Shirmp with Vegetables. Both items were very tasty and fresh. The soup which came with the dinner was very flavorful.

I visit this restaurant every week, and the food is consistently excellent, while the service is even more outstanding.

This place isn't a true steakhouse, but it's decent at best. If you're looking for a Japanese hibachi experience, this isn't the right spot for you. Be sure to ask for the sauce on the side, or you'll end up with your meal drenched in it.
