Chama Boxcar Cafe

Amazing is the word for this restaurant food, service, was so Good even the cooks were very pleasant. Herb and Natasha were great people loved all of it, will be back again. Thanks guys

This place makes me smile. We've been several times over the past few years on our trips to see Mimi and Papaw. It's beginning to feel like a tradition! Play at the train yard across the street, shop at the quaint stores, and eat at The Box Car Cafe! Great green chile cheeseburgers, the kids love the hot dogs, and we discovered a new fave today...chile cheese fries! With red and green chiles! Wow! Lovely service. Decent value. Definitely recommend to both visitors and locals.

It was a bit late for Chama when we arrived at 7:30 PM. We didn't realize that their hours were shorter than what we're used to, as they close at 8 PM. Despite this, the staff welcomed us warmly, even though I’m sure they were ready to wrap up for the night. The meal was exceptional and truly a delight. We were exhausted and very hungry, so we really appreciated the experience and the fantastic food. That night, you were truly a refuge from the storm. Thank you for everything!

The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly! Both the cafe and restrooms were kept very clean! We felt like welcomed guests rather than outsiders. We can't wait to dine here again!
