Li'l Porgy's -b-q - Champaign

What happened? I've dined here many times over the past twenty years, but this was the worst serving of tips we've ever had. They were tough, dry, and tasteless. The ribs weren't any better either; I barely managed to eat one and ended up discarding the other five. I really missed seeing the meat being cooked over wood.

After placing our order, we searched for a place to sit and found plenty of options, both inside and outside. Thanks to my influencer status, we snagged the best seat in the house! I also got a pickle on the side. Our "Woah Nellys" were incredibly tasty, and we couldn't get enough. The pickle was hands down the best I've ever had, and the BBQ sauce on both sausages was so flavorful and delicious. Overall, I give Porgy’s a 10/10 because it was fantastic!

I placed a catering order all the way from Colorado Springs for a family gathering, scheduled two days after our arrival. I was not disappointed! The food was ready and hot, and the staff even helped us load it into the car. Everyone was very friendly. We received nothing but compliments on the ribs, corn on the cob, pork and beans, and the coleslaw was spot on. Great job!

Porgys used to be so good and quality has gone down. The pork sandwich was very dry; shrimp and polish sandwich was good. Portion size has gone down and they used to include a pickle and hand wipes. Now the pickle is extra. From my perspective I?drather they charge a bit more and take it back what it used to be; the best BBQ in C-U. The bbq sauce was excellent.

This was my first time eating here. I had the brisket sandwich with extra hot BBQ sauce. The sauce had a great taste and I was pleasantly surprised that it actually had some heat to it. It's not as hot as I usually like but for fast food it was hotterthan most. With friendly service and great food I'd definitely recommend you giving it a try at least once.
