Market And Moss - Chapel Hill

An excellent evening out at a cozy, upscale and innovative restaurant. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by pleasant, knowledgeable staff members that genuinely seemed invested in our dining experience. From the friendly greeting by our hostess, to the welcome by the owner, to the menu guidance by our server, to the front end manager personally taking time to share her wine pairing knowledge, to the chef’s adaptation of the grouper dish to accommodate a dietary restriction, our Market Moss experience was outstanding. This is a gem of a restaurant that everyone should have a chance to experience for a night out, a special event or celebratory dinner. Looking forward to coming back.

The experience was enjoyable, but we likely won't be returning. The shrimp rolls were different than anticipated and I found the menu to be somewhat limited. However, these are more of my personal preferences rather than a reflection of the restaurant itself. Our waitress was excellent!

I really cannot summarize how nice this place was, we were seated outside (by choice) and they gave us cozy soft blankets?? Like what! And turned the heater on for us, we got the mushroom Flatbread, gnocci, and mussels (the mussels were my fav of the 3, just like wow I've never had anything that tasted so much like the ocean, so comforting and rich) and the atmosphere was so romantic. Also the service was magical, everything was so well thought out, and waitress was so very kind (as well as front staff)!

I had a wonderful anniversary dinner at this restaurant. Making reservations online was easy and I would recommend doing so. The parking situation was much better than going to Franklin St. The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. I would definitely come back again.

The food at this restaurant was amazing. Although we were seated on the patio, it took a while for someone to attend to us. Once they did, the rest of the experience was excellent!
