The Root Cellar Cafe Catering

I ordered the grits bowl with sausage and bacon, and I got my eggs cooked over medium, along with a side pancake and syrup. Everything was delicious, and I appreciated the presentation. The mimosa was a bit on the pricey side, but still very enjoyable. I loved the freshness of all the dishes! However, I didn't find their menu and ordering process very user-friendly. Even though they ask you to type your table number in the special instructions, it seemed like they either didn’t read them or simply ignored them. When my order came out, they walked around the dining area calling out names until someone raised their hand, which could easily be missed if you’re wearing headphones. They do offer some outdoor seating, which is nice, but since it was raining when I visited, I chose to eat inside. Although I wasn’t greeted when I arrived, everyone I interacted with afterwards was incredibly friendly and helpful. I definitely need to return to try some of their desserts and explore more of the menu; there were so many delicious-looking dishes, but I filled up quickly. I’ll definitely be back soon! I've visited Root Cellar an embarrassing number of times in the past few months because I absolutely love it. Both breakfast and lunch are fantastic, but the bakery is truly unparalleled. The lemon bars have been life-changing for me, and the rotating selection of cakes is always amazing. They also offer special coffee drinks and smoothies of the month that are consistently delicious!

I went to the Root Cellar Cafe for brunch and had their Eggs Benedict. All the ingredients were fresh and the individual elements in the dish were perfectly cooked. However, the dish as a whole was too rich (way too much pimento cheese! . I will come back to try different items on the menu because (1 their space is ample yet cozy, (2 their staff is friendly, (3 the ingredients are fresh, and (4 the food is reasonably priced (35 dollars for two brunch dishes, a side dish, a latte, and a cup of tea .
