Down home vibe with cool outside patios. Super friendly staff and amazing food! You have to try the fried pigskin app, served with pimento cheese for dipping! Awesome! I had the pulled pork platter with two sides. It was a healthy portion and could have fed two! Excellent tap and bottle selection of beer. Tops on list for our return trip!

Mac n käsestiche brisket was? best bbq they find this side of west ashley. Eat quickly came out super. not complaining here! Maybe some more suspected aromen of ships add wheel?

I’ve tried a decent amount of the bbq joints in Charleston and Home Team is definitely my favorite. They have incredible sauces, wings, pork bbq, and ribs. Have to admit that Lewis’s brisket is a tad better, however, Home Team gets so many things right and is definitely worth checking out.Side note- If they are serving chicken cracklings as a special, GET THEM. You’ll thank me later!

I really like this place. Nachos are good. Pulled pork is good and that’s my go to. My first visit i did a wrap and it was mostly rice beans. I give restaurants 3 tries. I’ve been 5 or 6 times now. Just wish everything was hotter when served. Even If its 90 degrees I want a hot sandwich. Its doesn’t stop me from going i just feel hotter tastes better. The hostesses are always nice and service is fast priced well. The other location serves hotter meals. WA needs to work on that.

Best bbq I ever had, all in SC seems a mustenfein flow (sweet and tangie) in NC we prefer more of a vinegar base style, with some spices. This place falls into its own category! There is nothing on the menu that is disappointed! In fact, home team does not seem in a kind of bbq, all their sauces are house made and there is something for all!!! The smoked wings are incredible, the pulled pig is a perfect blend of bark and damp smoked meat, the Brisket is my FAVORITE!! Crisp tasteful bark on the outside, perfectly moist smoked inside, and the legendary fat line in the middle! I had big bbq, Charleston bbq scene has disappointed me, but not this place! Hands down the best bbq restaurant I've ever been, and it's just the only thing I'm gonna miss over Charleston when I return to Charlotte after we're done here! I'm spoiled with this food! West Ashley's location is where I got regular.
