Nana Morrison's Soul Food - Charlotte

This was my first time eating here at Nana's. I have heard good things about this place and decided to review it myself. The food was great. The potatoes and the engraving were my favorite.

Yum, yum, yum, yum YUM!!!! I eat a roasted chicken. I really wanted something that has delicious skin with a crisp. I was absolutely not disappointed. This chicken was so delicate and moist on the inside and skin, so flavored, so crisp, so perfect on the outside. How do I get more? Can I just buy skin? I wasn't let off the sides either. I'm pretty picky about Mac and cheese. It is likely to eat one of my favorite side dishes with almost any meal and this was so good! And the potatoes? A perfect dip vessel for chicken. What a perfect joy!!! The grain bread was, as I love, on the sweeter side and not dry at all! Another great dipper for the potatoes! A sweet tea was my drink of choice and it was delicious as expected. The meal ended with some banana pudding and although I was completely out of my main meal, and that was the small dish!!! , we all know it's always room for dessert. There is definitely room for the banana pudding, it was amazing and tasty and the taste of the banana and everything just seems so good! I'm so glad I finally stopped and I can't wait to go back! Now you can call and order locally to pick up or stop by and go place and order. But don't let you stop getting food from here. Grab some napkins and dig in your car, because you want to eat this ASAP! It's so good!

This food is delicious. I pray that God continues to bless the entire staff. They are truly blessing souls with this food. Everything I ate on mine and my husband's plate was good!!

This place is delicious especially when it’s FRESH!! That’s a big factor on depending if your meal with be a hit or miss here but overall I enjoy this place. I didn’t give 5 stars because of some small reasons. The greens are very very sweet I’m not big on sweet sugary food but it was to sweet for me to even eat. The cornbread is good even though it’s super heavy,sweet and taste like cake. Chicken and yams is always good and flavorful !!! The deserts are over priced for what you get so I don’t recommend them. Overall this place is still decent so I recommend you trying it for yourself!

Food is excellent. Seasoned well and hot. Some items are prepared per order. Good portions as well. Four stars because pricing and they could use some music or something in there .... Space was clean and well lit.
