Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Charlotte

I recently ordered from this restaurant via UberEATS, and it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Even the delivery driver advised me to stay away from this place. The chicken tenders were disappointing, and the beans and rice were hardly worth mentioning – just a tiny spoonful of beans and undercooked rice. This establishment needs to seriously consider its future; it would be best for them to step back and let their employees find better opportunities. The food and service were unacceptable.

The food is quite good, but I have to say that I often find myself waiting over 30 minutes for my order, even when there are just two cars ahead of me in the drive-thru. I really don’t understand why it takes so long. You could easily read an entire book while waiting for your order, and then another while waiting for the food to be ready.

We ordered an 8-piece dinner with fries and red beans and rice. Since the drive-thru line was so long, I decided to go inside. After ordering, I asked them to set my bag aside. However, after waiting 20 minutes, they mistakenly gave my order to another customer who was complaining about the wait. He left for about 5 minutes, then came back to say it was the wrong order. The staff finally admitted it was ours and it took another 20 minutes to complete our order. I ended up spending 50 minutes for a chicken dinner, and though I once thought it was worth it, I won’t be going back. Popeyes has good food, but it's just not worth the hassle.

Employees will steal identity and try to buy with your card info. Yesterday there were and used my card I haven't used for a week. Today, two fraudulent purchases were tried. There is film on the drive thru window so you can't even see what it is? I suspect that something was fish with the time it was for the young woman on the trip thru (6/20/22 at appx. 18:00) took my card back. I won't return.

I'm updating from a 1 star to a 5 star. Their system was down today and they were super polite about it. Most of the time now staff will just turn you away and refuse to work. They were very helpful. Just keep serving up those blackened tenders, please and thank you!
