The Alley Light - Charlottesville

This place is fabulous. Don’t let the outside for you. One of the best small plate meals we’ve had. Salmon steak steak, Tatar and risotto fabulous. Also the halibut. The reich dessert to die for. Highly recommend!

We were in town for just a night and this place was recommended to us and we had a little trouble finding it but a quick phone call to the restaurant got us there. It was actually part of the fun. The food and service and cocktails here were absolutely wonderful. We were super hungry and ordered a bunch of small plates and the best for us were the scallops, the tenderloin, the goat cheese/endive salad and the chocolate giant macaron dessert. They make their own Limoncello in house which was delicious, and my Barbie cocktail was perfectly crafted.

We had an awesome experience this weekend at the Alley Light. From the moment we walked in we were taken care of with the most attentive service. The servers were amazing and informative. The food was outstanding and beautifully served. Our taste buds were tantalized with each course and we were left incredibly satisfied and not feeling overstuffed. The cocktails were amazing and worthy of a slow sipping that satisfied and fulfilled our taste sensations! What a great, relaxing and fulfilling experience. Definitely one to return to!
