Our orders were taken and we waited for our meals for an hour. 7/10 meals were cold. House...salad was brought out without dressing on it. We brought it to the attention of the staff and our meals were made again to take another 20 minutes, which was understandable to remake the food. The superior came to the table to talk to us and was apologetic. He was told that it is understandable that places have difficulties with the staff, but remembers that we have reservations and that if they are unable to accept them, they should not. No one was in the restaurant at that time. He was asked if we would get some kind of compensation and we got 20% discount from our meal. There was a free bottle of wine for 4 people who had bought a bottle of wine over and over their 20% discount. My husband and I offered only 20%. One person paid the full price as she had to go earlier, so she had already paid. It was nice that the superior recognized our problem with the cold food and spoke to us, but I don't think I'd go back. Disappointed in the meal and service.
Had an amazing breakfast at Water's Edge. Breakfast voucher was included during our stay. Husband had the steak and eggs and I had the pancakes. Food was great! Our server Clodagh was thrilled. She was so friendly and attentive. She gave us big suggestions...to do things in Charlottetown too. Conveniently located in the Delta where we stay.
One evening after checking in, we enjoyed a late dinner at this restaurant and were very happy with our experience. The service, especially from Carlo, was excellent. We shared fish tacos, a side salad, and a order of fries. The tacos were delicious, the salad was fresh and generous, and the fries were some of the best we've had all year. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this place to both locals and travelers.
The restaurant and the lounge are airy and very well lit. A simple Gin martini can hurt your wallet on the melody of $18 (plus taxes and tip), but the Chowder makes it worth it. It won an award and deserves it. No big pieces of potato masquerading as seafood.
We really enjoyed the food and found the prices to be fair. Just like the rest of the hotel employees, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful.
