Henry's Cafe and Restaurant

Visiting the local site seeing attractions in Charters Towers and found Henry's for lunch a well set out cafe / restaurant and small bar. Very nice menu, food, coffee and friendly young gentlemen serving us my only negative was the time it took to actually get our meal which was only a basic order. Still worth calling in if visiting this lovely town of Charters Towers.

We enquired to see the menu, but when the middle aged man serving, understood we were only looking, promptly rolled his eyes, throw the menu on the table, turned around and went into the kitchen. We found the door quiet easily! Every time we walked past (accommodation close by), very few people were inside. No sure what the food is like, but service is a big part of the experience in my book.

Travelling through to Townsville and stopped for a lunch break .Hamburger and chips for $10 was a good deal, and burger was fresh and pretty good.Service was a bit slow, due to a large group having a birthday lunch, but was worth the wait.

This is a good place to meet up with people, for tourist it is part of the attractions in town and near the info centre.I had a milk shake here with friends and it was made in the metal container and given to me in the same way. This is the way they used to be. well worth the visit.

The restaurant is charming with good decor and some interesting paintings. The staff are welcoming and courteous and the food was delicious.
