Moorside Tea Room - Chelsea

We were 2 adults with 3 children for lunch in September without reservations. We were accommodated. There were 2 large groups so the waiters were very busy. Our server did bring the children's meals rather quickly and the children enjoyed their grilled cheese and vegetables and hummus. Our meals came with soup and salad. I had the quiche and my husband had the smoked meat. Both were really good. We all shared the chocolate cake and the pudding chomeur. Both were delicious. Yes it was pricey for lunch but the food was so good!

Ambiance can't be beat. Lovely setting. Food very tasty. Just expect to enjoy nice food in a lovely setting; enjoy the vista from the windows. Service is gracious but a bit slow; imagine there are limitations to providing better service in the location.Suggest it be possible to drive a handicap person to the tearoom and then park the car in the parking lot.

The food and drinks are bland. The service horrible. We will not return to eat there - ever! We did not feel welcomed at all. Cost $10.00 to park and the prices are too high for the quality of food!

Historical value, nice tea, view, beautiful fall colours, interesting historical ruins. Service was slow.

Stood and waited more than 20minutes while not one server/host came by to greet us. Servers walked back and forth, made eye contact and ignored us. Couple in front of us waited even longer. Needless to say both of us left without trying this teahouse.
