We had our Saltair community dinner at the Dayliner including about 25 people.
Recommend by a friend as a great place to eat. Said friend was right ... was great. Lovely setting on a wonderful warm day. All good nicely presented and tasty. Service was excellent.
Stopped into this bright cafe about 3pm on a Saturrday looking for a light lunch. Opted to sit in the patio garden which was very pleasant. Menu was limited consisting of an all day breakfast, two soups and several wraps and sandwiches. My wife and I opted for the signature turkey and brie wrap and a cup of soup. Soup was tasty and wrap was served with the minimum of garnish and quite small. For $15.00 we thought it a little steep.Service was good, however there was only one other table occupied.Menu is limited, I would probably opt for the all day breakfast if visiting again.Restaurant is attractive and nicely decorated with lots of light and open air feel.Location on the Chemainus road a little north of Chemainus situated in the old Saltaire Railway Station
Great service and ambiance but the menu was extremely limited-and when the food arrived, it presented and tasted like a pre-made mealAsked for a side of bacon with my scone, but they don't have actual bacon, just bacon bitsThe cheesy scalloped potatoes were the highlite of a $14 sausage and eager
