Írjon visszajelzéstWhen we arrived in Chemainus on our boat the dock manager recommended Odika Restaurant for dinner. Our second night (Chemanus theater the 1st night w/review) we visited Odika Restaurant. Trip Advisor indicates it is excellent of which we'd say 5 star. During our afternoon walk we stopped by the restaurant to make a reservation for dinner not realizing they were closed. As we approached the door a gentleman came towards it from the inside & graciously tool our reservation. Later, we learned he was the chef for the exquisite, delicious meals. When we arrived for dinner we were promptly greeted & seated. Soon, an eloquent, tall, African woman brought us menus & water. The wait persons were a delight. Our meal was superb with the wild excellent wild mushroom soup as an appetizer. I ordered the African, delicious lamb shank that was served with mashed plantain. My wife had the outstanding 16 spice chicken was superb. There were other unusual items on the menu of which we look forward to enjoying on our return. Being wonderfully full we still had to try their deep fried cheesecake which, also, wasn't a regret. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is hungry for an outstanding meal
Quelle heureuse surprise ! Une carte variée et inventive, des cuissons et saveurs parfaites. Service impeccable et beaucoup d'attentions pour résoudre les soucis d'allergie ou de régime des uns et des autres. Allez y sans hésiter.
The customer service is always superb at this establishment. we always make a point of stopping here every time we go to Chemaimus. If you want a pleasant dining experience and awesome tasting food be sure to eat here. You may want to reserve ahead if you are planning on an evening meal it fills up quickly. Extremely clean and also has a nice outside patio for you to relax with a bit of wine and recharge yourself for more exploring around the town.
Staff at the Best Western highly recommended Odika's, and we're happy they did. The crabmeat mango salad was fresh and delightful, the ribs fell off the bone, and the grilled Caesar salad was unique and delicious. The coconut prawns were the perfect appy, and the service was attentive and reasonable, given the crowd. We've been waiting coming to the island for almost 15 years now, and this is by far one of our best dining experiences. Sorry we booked the theater buffet tonight, or we'd be back at Odika's!
This African-themed restaurant, named for a traditional part of the culinary culture of Gabon, is an absolute delight. We were graciously greeted and served, and the food was superb. The menu is eclectic with choices representing multiple cultures. Our choices were the African lamb ngondo and the crab and mango salad. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. There is much more on the menu that I want to try on future visits to Chemainus. I wish we lived closer, but we will be back.
