This is a vegetarian restaurant near the small north gate (xiaobeimen) of the universität sichuan. it serves some interesting dishes such as pizza, pasta, tiny Vietnamese spring rolls, chicken bone and Japanese noodles with sweet. there are several vegan options, but most of them are Eastern cuisine, such as the Sichuan Friend reisnudeln with vegetables or the cured vegetables. they also have smoothies, but I never tried them. the personal is very friendly (something unusual in the opposite), the prices are moderate (compared to meat places around, but not as high as chic vegan restaurants Chinese further from campus), and the ambiente is unique. it is located in a dark dirty cluster of fleshy restuarants, but as soon as they come into them know that they are in a veg place through the smell and lightness. they will tell them clearly what can be done without msg or other things they want to avoid. this was a veg oasis for me, as I study in sichuan u and the veg options in the cafeterias are not appetit (plus full of msg.)
Many former high school students come here to eat. The atmosphere is particularly inviting. The restaurant has been around for 30 years now, showing that it has stood the test of time.
The restaurant can be easily found by looking for a large blue street sign labeled with the number 5. After entering, walk down a short open corridor until you reach a yellow-themed room on the right. The owner is welcoming and speaks some English. The menu offers a mix of simple dishes influenced by both Western and Asian cuisines to cater to a variety of tastes.
Located near the Small North Gate of the University of Sichuan, this vegetarian restaurant offers a variety of interesting dishes including pizza, pasta, Vietnamese spring rolls, veg chicken leg, and Japanese noodles with vegetables. While most of the vegan options lean towards Eastern cuisine like Sichuan fried rice noodles and cured vegetables, there are also smoothies available. The staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and the ambience is unique. Despite being surrounded by other non-vegetarian eateries, once inside, the distinct smell and brightness make it clear that this is a vegetarian establishment. The restaurant is accommodating to dietary preferences and restrictions, making it a welcomed oasis for those studying at Sichuan University where vegetarian options in the cafeterias are lacking.
