The casino offers plenty of card tables, a variety of table games, and numerous slot machines. There's also a sports betting area available. Be sure to bring cash, as the few ATMs on-site charge $9 per transaction. The drinks at the bars were enjoyable but quite pricey, which I expected. My only issue was that on Saturday nights, it’s extremely difficult to get a drink due to long lines at the bars, and it's tough to find a server on the casino floor. Overall, I had a fantastic time. I'm not an avid gambler, but I still had a lot of fun!
Could you consider adding a brand new Cherokee-Italian Fusion menu? I would love to see creative dishes that incorporate ingredients like tomatoes, blue corn, amaranth, and bean pasta, as well as Appalachian herbs and other local ingredients. Some ideas could include Blue Corn Pizza, Appalachian salads and vegetables, and a variety of meaty and vegetarian Cherokee-Italian fusion options. Additionally, it would be fantastic to have an indoor onsen spa with an Appalachian forest theme or a recreated hot spring. Thank you!
This hotel is a dump! First off, don 't book a room through any third party agency because if you do and you get a smoking room they will not change it; even when you didn 't know you booked a smoking room. We asked and the response was because it was booked through a third party we can 't change your room, which I found to be complete bull because they want you to book through them rather than Expedia. Also, realized non-smoking rooms are much more expensive than smoking rooms. They said we could ask for an ozone machine that is supposed to clean the air quality, but it didn 't do much. Thankfully, we didn 't have heavy smokers next to us or across the hall. Second, the hotel housekeeping are still following Covid policies and will not clean your room until you have checked out. The check-in clerk did not mention this to us at all- so one morning we showered and put our dirty towels on the floor for fresh ones, went hiking all day at the Smokey Mountains, and came back to a dirty room. Finally, the amenities here are outdated and old. I would not recommend this place. I gave a rating of 2 stars for the casino restaurants, the staff who were nice, and the pool with pool bar (which is about 3 ft deep). If you want to eat at a restaurant and not the food court (which was pretty good) book a reservation.
It's a casino so come prepared to loose your money and loose it fast. On my visit the food court was closed and the rewards club is in a very inviting glass room that is hard to find and feels more like a complaint desk than a huge marketing opportunity. There is a wonderful HVAC ventilation system with little smells but the whole vibe just felt quiet and depressing- no music and the machines were not paying so no machine psychology noise. What really needs improvement is the rewards desk- make this exciting make people want to come here verses looking like a depressing room even the casino begs you won't want to visit
No Cherokee was wonderful. The food was really good. The people were very friendly and happy. It's a big place though.
