Crave Bakery Coffee - Chesapeake

The coffee was wonderful. My latte didn't have the bitter espresso. My husband loved his peach cobbler cupcake. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area.

The online ordering system is completely ineffective. We ordered keto cupcakes, and while our order confirmation showed the flavors we requested, the store never received that information. When we arrived to pick up our order, it wasn't ready, and they didn't have the flavors we asked for. What we were given were cupcakes that were stale and rock-hard. I was hoping for freshly made cupcakes for my birthday, but instead, I received something barely edible. I would be embarrassed to give these away, let alone charge $6 each for them. What's the point of having an online ordering system if it doesn't actually process orders? No one from the store ever reached out to let us know we wouldn't be getting what we ordered. The man at the counter was hardly friendly, offering no apologies or solutions to the problem. We ended up with stale cupcakes that were nothing like what we ordered. We will not be coming back.

I strongly advise against using their online ordering system. I placed my order three days in advance, giving them plenty of time to address any issues. Their online platform allows for selecting specific items, but what they apparently receive is just a standard order. When I arrived, they had nothing prepared and only offered excuses: “Oh, that should’ve been blocked. Sorry about that.” But nothing was blocked, and they made no effort to contact me beforehand. Their apology was lackluster at best. Given how much they promote their online ordering, you would expect it to be managed properly. The service was incredibly disappointing—definitely the worst I’ve encountered. If the owner is going to leave the business in someone else’s hands, they need to ensure that person can manage the orders without having to explain everything via phone.

Absolutely delicious! The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of options. The giant garlic cheddar biscuit is unbelievably good! The staff were also very friendly and personable. I highly recommend it—10/10!

After dining at the fantastic Soulivia’s, my family and I visited Crave next door and were thrilled to see all the options available! We were visiting from out of town, and we couldn't be happier that these two local spots were our last stops before hitting the road. We'll definitely be back!
