Eddie's Chesapeake Bay Crabhouse More

Eddie's has gone down really bad. I ordered 3 pair large male fried crabs. $12.99 a pair...There were only 2 crabs that the meat could be eaten. All the crabs were medium so they added a few more instead of saying they didn't have Lg. Males. 1 was a female, 3 had ammonia smell and 1 was extremely mushy. This is my FINAL time purchasing from them. I ordered two weeks ago by delivery and it was the same result. I thought me going directly there it would be different.

The crab I had was generously seasoned and full of meat, making it the best I've had. I will definitely return to this restaurant and spend my money here. As someone from the south, it reminded me of being back home. The customer service was outstanding and amazing. Thank you for your exceptional service.

The best fried crabs I've ever had. I always look forward to enjoying them whenever I visit Norfolk.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. How can a seafood restaurant not allow you to see your food before purchasing it? The staff member was rude and misinformed, claiming that blue crabs are just male and orange crabs are female, when in fact all blue crabs eventually turn orange. Even customers who came after me left without getting their crabs because we had to wait 20 minutes past the supposed opening time of 2pm. The website said they open at 12, but the sign on the door said 11am. I called and spoke to a woman who was unhelpful. This place should be shut down - it smelled like it needed a dose of antibiotics. I highly recommend staying away.

I purchased a dozen fried and a dozen stem crabs. When I opened a fried crab there was a strong sour order. I thought maybe just a bad crab. Opening more of fried and stem crabs I was very disappointed.I try to support black owned businesses but sometimes it's almost impossible. Had I looked at the reviews like I normally do. This wouldn't have happened. Listening to a past customer from years ago.Please don't serve people something you wouldn't eat yourself! No I'm not making another trip to correct something that shouldn't have happened. I don't mind paying for good products in this case,what a waste. Lesson learned. I will never recommend Eddie's to anyone. They should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of the community and people's hard earned money. Nothing good will come from that. Please don't chance this place. Go elsewhere. Just disgusting representation of a minority owned business.Victim......
