The Fo'c'sle - Chester

Stopped for a couple of beers and ordered their house beer. It was very tasty and nice and cold. Great service but sticker shock when we got the bill. $34 for 3 draft beers!! Yikes. It's was good but not that good. Funny too because you can pull up their appetizer menu and their food menu but not their beverage menu on their website. Hmm, wonder why....

My wife and I visited the restaurant with another couple. Three of us order the $24 Stuffed Haddock with Scallops, shrimp and bread stuffing wrapped in a fresh haddock fillet . There was one shrimp on top of the haddock and you would need a magnifying glass to find the scallops! They used Bay Scallops which were no larger than a kernel of corn! Considering we were on the South South of Nova Scotia, we were very disappointed to be served these so called scallops . If restaurants are going to resort to serving these imitation scallops , they should at least inform their guests. Will not be returning!

My partner, cousin I had a fabulous meal last evening enjoyed the band which included the saxophone…had a New Orleans blues sound…made me want to get up dance…I would highly recommend the stuffed haddock..one of the best meals I’ve had the pleasure of eating…my partner had the nachos my cousin had a double burger…both commented on the exceptional quality of each…great service as well

We end up going here every time we visit our friends in Hubbard's. Food and atmosphere is very east coast Fun pub stuff.

Food is absolutely fantastic, fish was perfectly battered and cooked. Beef dip sandwich was wonderful and the service is fast and attentive. Bev and the staff are a delight, best meal I've had out this summer.Vegetarian options: A bunch of options
