La Playita - Chicago Ridge

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed by the perfectly seasoned food. The owner was very gracious and welcoming. However, the service was a bit lacking—I almost felt inclined to help clear tables myself, though I understand it’s a tough situation right now. I would love to return regularly, but it's a bit too pricey for that. I definitely plan to come back for special occasions!

The hospitality and service were truly outstanding. The food was exceptional! My dad ordered the Bistek A La Mexicana dinner and absolutely loved it. Now, let me emphasize that my dad is very particular about his food and rarely praises it, but today he was thrilled with his meal. I had the Carne Asada dinner, which included a large portion of tender flank steak, grilled onions, rice and beans, and a perfectly grilled jalapeño. The meat was tender and paired wonderfully with the grilled onions. This place deserves five stars! The atmosphere was also fantastic.

The food was excellent and affordable. This place is a hidden gem!
