Arepa George - Chicago

Came to check out this tiny little spot that did not disappoint. We are fans of Colombian cuisine and super critical since it is native to my adoptive parents. The food was delicious, shout out to the salad, it was very impressive!The meats were perfectly cooked and overall we were satisfied.Sidenote: The menus in house do not have prices, which I found a little odd. All line items default to MP Market Price, but they weren't serving seafood. I'm not familiar with every item on a menu being market price. ? And after the bill came I was a bit shocked that the food was so expensive.

Arepa George's catering staff are extremely helpful and communicative when assisting us with the staff Luncheon. The food was so flavorful, filling and accommodated all of our staff food restrictions(vegetarian, vegan and gluten intolerance). They are super friendly and professional.Mil Gracias Arepa George

Great small restaurant! Had the mushroom veggie arepa and had them add avocado, I was very satisfied with my decision; at other restaurants when you add avocado they're stingy despite the upcharge but here they gave me a nice amount of avocado very much worth it. Nonetheless the arepa tastes great, a little mild in flavor but adding the sauce to it made it excellent ?. Also had plantain and cheese empanadas; the plantains did not make it too sweet and the cheese was melted very nice they did the whole stretchy thing well and overall the flavor well balanced.

The food was so delicious and the staff were kind and helpful. It's a small place and service could be a little slow but not terribly. I brought 2 crazy toddlers with me and they were so helpful and accommodating. I'm vegetarian and they had so many delicious vegetarian options. Highly recommend!!

Great arepas! I got the Carne Asada special but I ordered salad and avocado to add to it (I like my greens). Tried the plátano, really great!
