Brobagel - Chicago

I got an everything bagel with egg and cheese. I liked that the seasoning was on both halves, the bagel was big, and there was lots of cheese and egg.If you want a quick bagel in this area, this will fill that void. Be sure to order ahead. Not a top Chicago bagel and there's no seating inside or out. The text message system isn't great (my bagel was sitting around for a while with no notification). Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Wicker Park has so many excellent food options.

I just moved back into the neighborhood and was excited to get back into my morning bagel routine. This place always had a wide variety or freshly baked bagels. To my dismay, I walked in this morning almost startling the staff. I couldn't see what bagels they had for sale but my choices were bleak. My bagel was at least a day old and definitely not the same quality from 3-4 years ago. Overall, just missing that neighborhood feel, resembled more of a prison.

I think it’s a ghost kitchen? Staff looked at me like I was an alien when I asked for a menu and wanted to place an order.This is the only dedicated bagel shop in WP that I’m aware of. As far as I’m concerned, that means there are no bagel shops in WP.The everything bagel had the everything seasoning on the top and bottom. I ordered the Automic sandwich (atomic sausage, scrambled eggs, pepper Jack cheese) and couldn’t taste any flavor because the everything bagel seasoning dominated and tasted like I was eating crushed black pepper every bite.Typically a man of principle and will eat most things that I purchase, yet I wouldn’t/couldn’t finish this sandwich…Save yourself the time and money… go to Jewel or Mariano’s and make your own bagel sandwich. You’ll have a better start to your day.

Best bagels in Chicago! Closest I've had to New York. Definitely a weekend treat. Brothers baking bagels since 1983. Come over and support Brobagel in Bucktown! Open every day 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Everybody who works there at the walk up window is super pleasant! Left today with a nice bag of fresh tasty bagels. They also have breakfast sandwiches like your bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. When they are good they are great... But things can be hit or miss. One bagel is hot and fresh, the other feels day-old.They also seem to prioritize online orders, so if you're going in person be prepared to wait.Again, when they're on, it's worth the wait.
