Írjon visszajelzéstThis is a Michelin one star? I was looking forward to this meal with my friends on my visit to Chicago this weekend, but ultimately left feeling disappointed. While the starters the dips and little snacks and pita were all very good, the mains were only okay (the sausage was not great, the pastrami/make your own reuben was good but gimmicky, and the fish was okay but lacked a vibrant flavor). Desserts were unremarkable flavorless cheesecake and some chocolate babka rif whose only remarkable feature was the fresh raspberries accompanying the pastry. The starter falafels were the true highlight, while the foie gras dish was overly sweet and cloying, and the heirloom tomato salad somewhat flavorless. Service was okay, though slow to bring drink refills when requested, and we were seated in a backroom that had little character. My friends who I went with had been before and loved it back when it was an a la carte restaurant. They walked away from this meal disappointed, as did I, given the hype. Honestly, for the price point, this was disappointing and the quality/ quantity of food was not up to snuff. I'm surprised this is a Michelin one star place, as I've been to several others and found the service/ food superior at similar price points. It was expensive and not quite worth the price point, though there were some high points, as discussed.
Really great experience! The food was awesome and so much fun to share. I'd recommend going with a party of 4 or 6. You get to try so much if everyone is willing to share. The food is also a great deal for what you get.
We started with the beef brisket hummus. You don't get a lot of beef but that's not really the point. Everything tasted great with the pita were very distinct from each other.Next we shared the falafel and carrots. We both like the carrots more an interesting blend of flavors and textures. Would recommend. Falafel was good but pretty straight forward. Id probably get something more adventurous if we came back. For the mains, we had the mushrooms and turkey shawarma. We really liked the mushrooms though the portion size was a little underwhelming. Turkey shawarma is fun but it had a bit too much going on. Better portion size at least.Finished with the babka. Tasty, not to sweet at all. Was perfect way to finish a great meal.
This place is very expensive, but it is VERY much worth it if you have a big enough group. Everything about this place just proves that it deserves the Michelin star it received. The service is great, our waitress was courteous but also personable. She did a great job explaining the menu items as well as how the service was going to work. The food is also incredible. Of course some items, in my opinion, were better than others but you could really appreciate the variety of the dishes and their flavor profiles as they came out. A huge stand out in my opinion was the lobster dish which was so good we got an extra serving of it afterwards. If you have the money, give this place a shot! It will be a night to remember for sure.
Beautiful food. I loved the pickled items and the yogurt butter. The fish was so delicious. I would come here again. They also gave us cookies for the road on our way out. I think they over booked because they place was packed and they charged us for call , which is weird and I had never seen a that before.
