Groundswell Coffee Roasters - Chicago

I spent $10 on two iced drinks, and I was really disappointed. The matcha latte was made by just dropping dry matcha into cold milk, which didn't taste right. As for the iced tea, it was essentially just water with a hint of tea flavor. It seemed like there was no effort put into steeping the tea, and they didn't even leave the tea bag in the cup. I really think the barista needs better training on how to prepare iced drinks properly.

I'm always taken aback when people mention that they enjoy the coffee here. It's among the most acidic coffee I've ever tasted. I can tolerate bad coffee, but I can never manage to finish a cup from this place.

Excellent coffee for a lighter roast, delicious Do Rite donuts, and a pleasant outdoor seating area. Food: 5/5

Coffee is good but the employees are the least friendly people ever. They especially are unkind to children. Considering the neighborhood, they would be wise to have a little more patience. The last straw for me was an employee scolding my 3 year old for touching a piece of plastic designating the pickup spot, and he wasn't even hurting anything or getting in anyone's way. My son cried the whole way home asking why they weren't nice there. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
