Had the agua de jamaica and a huarache. The huarache was bursting with flavor. It was so fresh tasting and had many layers. One of the best I?ve ever had. The jamaica was mild but refreshing. The pasta straw was the best I?ve ever used. Didn?t know it waspasta but felt good to know it was eco friendly. Service was kind and informative. They helped me with my dietary allergies andprovided a thorough description of the food which did its complexity justice.
The food and service were good, but I have to admit I was a bit let down due to all the hype. The portion sizes were quite small, and some of the flavors were a bit unusual. I did enjoy the horchata, which had a roasted rice flavor that added depth and made it more interesting than your typical horchata. The Steak Burrito was also tasty, particularly the spicy salsa that accompanied it. However, considering the prices, I wouldn't choose to return.
The layout of the restaurant isn't very efficient; there could definitely be more chairs at the bar, and the high tables feel like a waste of space. We ended up standing at the door for over 40 minutes. On a positive note, the design of the place is beautiful and fun, from the tables to the bathrooms—I really loved it! As for the food, I ordered the swordfish, but it was a bit oily for my taste. We also ordered tortillas to go with it, but I wasn't a huge fan. In hindsight, I wish we had opted for a family-style meal. On the upside, the drinks were quite good!
I truly wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of food quality. Although the atmosphere and service were excellent, I found the flavors somewhat lacking. Additionally, I felt it was a bit pricey for what we received (we shared two dishes and some guacamole). On the bright side, I really appreciated the authenticity that this place stands for!
