Taqueria Los Alamos - Chicago

The food was really good! We ordered the chorizo burrito and carne asada burrito. I took one star away because I wish they had more options for the chorizo burrito like chorizo and eggs or chorizo and potatoes.FYI there is a $2 credit card charge in store so if you are ordering to go it might be better to place your order online because it comes out to be a little bit cheaper. Or bring cash!

This place is great! The chips come out hot and the gorditas are delicious.

During a visit to Pilsen, my love and I stumbled upon Taqueria Los Alamos. We decided to check it out for a weekend lunch. The interior has a basic appearance. I had to ask about going to wash my hands in the men's room as there was a sign implying that it was under maintenance, but the woman said it was OK to go in. Not sure if there was a language barrier, as I asked for two cups of water, but the woman charged me for two bottles of water. The food was pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The taco al pastor might have been the best bite, followed by the chorizo gordita. I had a few nibbles of my love's burrito and it's a solid selection.

Impor to know that they use pork lard in their beans.
