Tre Kronor - Chicago

Tre Kronor has a very special significance for me since I attended North Park University from 1996 to 2000, and I have Scandinavian roots! My daughter enjoyed the Belgium waffles, while I indulged in the Norwegian meatballs, which were just as delicious as I remembered. Thank you for a fantastic meal!

On the downside, the service was quite slow; we spent nearly three hours there with drinks being infrequently refilled. However, I completely understand why. The servers were working incredibly hard, running around like crazy, and I was happy to tip our server over 20%! I’m mentioning this because you shouldn’t expect a quick dining experience here. If you're in a hurry, I recommend ordering takeout!

The outdoor garden seating is lovely, surrounded by lush greenery, tall trees, and blooming planters. They even have a vegetable garden! The food features simple, fresh ingredients and is quite delicious. I'm a fan of their daily quiche selections. And don't miss out on ordering the sausage—it's delicious! Absolutely loved this place!! I took my mother for her birthday for some authentic Swedish food and it was perfect! Not too busy (which surprised me given how amazing the food is). We had a Brie appetizer and each ordered the Swedish meatballs and they werethe best I?ve ever had! Please go and support this restaurant and try the food. You will not be disappointed! We will definitelybe back!

Came here for a Saturday brunch. Great food, had the corn beef hash which was fantastic and Belgium waffle was delicious. Rubin sandwich was great. Recommend the Ginger bread latte! It wasn?t busy so service was good.
