Tuscan Hen Market - Chicago

I love lasagna and tried Tuscan Hen's frozen take-home versions 3 times (2 Bolognese; 1 spinach w/ricotta). Unfortunately, it does not cook correctly based on the exact instructions printed on the package. After the second try, I told the store clerk that something is not right, but she paid no attention to my concern. On my last (recent) try, I increased the (verified) oven temp to 350 degrees and still ended up with soupy lasagna. It does not seem reasonable to me that a fully frozen product will cook in 50-55 minutes at 300 degrees, as results have shown. After spending $60+, I'm giving up. Please verify cooking steps and modify the package labelling. Thank you.

We have ordered catering from Tuscan Hen a few times and have been very happy with them, in particular this last time. We got many compliments from our guests and everyone enjoyed the food very much. The new owner is very responsive and truly cares about customers’ happiness. Highly recommend this place!

I have a new job in the area and have gotten lunch here several times per week. Easy online ordering, really nice and efficient staff, fresh and tasty food. I can't wait to try their pasta. Great local shop!

Talk about a great experience. Whether you're doing take out or popping in for lunch, the food is fresh and wonderful.The service was friendly and attentive, I felt like I was at an Italian grandmother's kitchen. The food was fresh and fantastic, and we were provided with samples of several other items.Can't wait to go back to try their dinner service and patio in the spring.

This place is SO good. I've gotten lunch from here three times in the last week! The food itself is fresh and delicious, and you're getting a great portion for the cost. Other chain places would charge you extra for the amount of meat they put on their sandwiches. Plus, staff is really lovely. Eat here! :
