The menu was not extensive, but the offered items were delicious, featuring a nice variety of sweet and savory dishes, making it ideal for someone who is still getting acquainted with Indian cuisine. I noticed that they didn't offer drinks other than water, which struck me as a bit odd. Also, there was no flatbread available. The online photos made it look like a typical restaurant, so I’m unsure if things changed or if I simply missed something. This was only the second time I had dined in a genuine Indian restaurant, and I was not disappointed. The food was tasty, but what really stood out was the ambiance of the place, which truly set it apart from other buffet-style restaurants. While it might not be the kind of place that inspires writing home about, as one of the few Indian restaurants in Butte County, I can definitely see myself eating here again and would happily recommend it to a friend.
Sooo good! fresher naan, the dal curry is really good. also the butter h and h curry was very delicious. not too spicy, only full of taste! we want to come back to try out the lunch buffet so that we can learn more from ourselves. it looks like they get a small amount of food (just the correct quantity) when they order the meal instead of ala carte, but it is a lot of food and we could not finish. we come back to a final way.
For appetizers, we tried the samosas, medu vada, and gobi manchurian. I particularly enjoyed the gobi manchurian, while the tandoori chicken was nice, though it could have been spicier. Just be sure to ask for your preferred spice level—I’m sure they can make it as spicy as you like. The service was excellent, and the dining area was clean, making for a really enjoyable meal overall. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars, deducting one star due to some cleanliness issues in the restroom. Overall, it was a great experience!
I'm sorry. I've never been inside, but I loved the atmosphere. the food was on spit and satisfied to demand that. will go back next time.
We had dinner at Priya Indian Cuisine in Chico, which is a bit of a detour from Redding. I heard there are several locations with the same name, but we visited the Chico one. After our meal, we enjoyed some tea and coffee, which were fantastic. The owner was very accommodating, and I give full stars for both the food and service. It's a great option for takeout as well. I highly recommend it!
