Taj Fine Indian Cuisine - Chico

Taj has sort of a cafeteria-style ordering system with metal trays, plastic utensils, fill your own cups. As a newbie, I tried the butter chicken and goat curry along with some cheese naan. The goat curry was OK (it had a lot of bones), but the butter chicken and naan were superb. Prices were reasonable given the generous portions (I couldn't finish). There are a few lingering reminders of the old Pizza Factory, but overall the atmosphere is pleasant relaxed with Indian decor and music. The staff is very nice and welcoming, especially for first timers.

Amazing service!! Highly recommend coming here. You get great food you get a good amount. Their plate deal is great, you get an entree, rice, naan, a desert and a drink! Great music as well. Definitely would come back!

I ordered take-out, and since l am a 2 minute drive l decided to pick it up myself. Why pay doorhub and grubdash? The food is awesome, but next time l am picking from the buffet. It is the same price and you can see what it is. Do you really remember which is Chicken Tikka Masala and which is Chicken Vindaloo?They have mango Lassi made fresh in the cooler, too.Oh and when you leave drive down to the Sacramento intersection. It is easier to go left there.

My husband and I absolutely love Taj! The staff are always kind and the food is always delicious and at a great price and portions. Our favorite is the shahi paneer with butter naan, but we have enjoyed everything we have tried there. We highly recommend!Vegetarian options: My husband and my absolute favorite dish here is vegetarian! They have great options.Parking: Plenty of parking, never an issue finding a good spot.
