Jasmine Thai Kitchen - Chiltern

We did not make a reservation, but walked into the restaurant on a Saturday night and were warmly welcomed. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

The food at this restaurant is average at best. One positive note is that the owner’s son can often be found selling drugs outside their residence at 27 Broadlands Avenue. Surprisingly, the restaurant owners seem unfazed by this illegal activity and may be using it to launder money, considering they own two Porsches.

I have dined in and ordered takeout from Jasmine Kitchen for years and have always enjoyed their food. However, this recent takeout experience was not only bad, but absolutely disgusting. The dish had zero flavor, and what was supposed to be rice noodles was not. It was incredibly disappointing and I would give it a zero if I could. The laab gai was borderline inedible.

Terrible customer service, rude staff when I called them. Driver just left the delivery outside without texting or calling me. My TV wasn’t nor did I have my earphones in either, as I was waiting for the order. The customer house myself in the situation was right and they didn’t give a damn. So I will never be ordering takeaway from them again. It’s such a shame because I’m pretty sure they used to do Thai food at the Queens head at the time it was very good. So what the hell is happened? I rang them up the second time and the same guy answer the phone. He was again very rude to me and he put the phone down on me twice both on the first and second phone call. The guy did accuse me of being rude and yes I was rude in my reply return to his and quite frankly disrespectful and rude way he woke to me first. They fired the first shot! if you don’t want customers to be rude back don’t be damned rude to your customers. Bearing in mind, they knew my address, so it wasn’t as if I was going to put myself on offer. I had a chest infection I wanted a decent time meal and one beer to celebrate the New Year. I was not going to stand outside for 20 minutes waiting for my food. All I wanted was a Thai curry and one beer to celebrate the New Year, which is all expected to get not to be treated with such disrespect. I almost brought a Domino’s Pizza instead and that is exactly what I will do next time, I won’t bother with this business again! Disgraceful!

We were really impressed and happy with our food. I’ve lived out in Thailand so I’m rather picky with Thai food in the UK but this was a great match. Highly recommend. Great chef We just wish this restaurant was in Amersham! We will be back or for take away. Many thanks
