The White Lion - Chiltern

The restaurant has a lot of space, is clean, and has a Christmassy ambiance already. The prices for drinks and food are on the higher side, but that is to be expected in Amersham. The staff is friendly. I would definitely come back.

It’s a shame the new Asian menu didn’t work out. We have tried it several times and it is just not serving authentic food. The outside is now looking shabby and the beautiful hanging baskets are no more. The outside area is covered in weeds. It’s a shame I’m sure the main aim here is to turn the site into flats.

Nice atmosphere, really enjoyed the vegetarian paneer curry. Great value, excellent service. Definitely will be making another visit .

Good food, apart from the steak states that it comes with peppercorn sauce and it didn't come until we asked for it. The witness messed up the order, plus when we asked if we could order our pudding so they came out with the kids, so we can have it out the same time. But she got the kids and didn't come back to order the adult puds. Just left us waiting. Wasn't the best that we had service wise. The food was good

I have been several times to the White Lion and now twice in a week. The three course meal we had for a 50th celebration was excellent value for money. I had the perfect vegetable samosas, salmon and the chocolate sweet was amazing and could be easily shared with three others. The Ritz would happy serving the sweet up! Ro gave remarkable service as did her colleague. Good selection of wines too. I went back the following week and had the samosas which were again superb.
