Went to spice alley and visited a couple of places for dinner. We tried the fluffy pork puns and chive and prawn dumplings. All tasty and very fresh! Came out fast too. You can get eat in or take away. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
Always my top 3 pick pay-of restaurants in Chippendale. I can not eat anything other than those shrimp and female dumplings for weeks and still not tired of it.
There's a new ramen shop in town down in Spice Alley and it's definitely worth a visit if any of the following apply: 1.
Kyo-to is a little ramen and rice don kiosk within Spice Alley which serves some delicious rice don but disappointment ramen. Kyo-to is the closest restaurant/food kiosk to get my weekly (maybe daily) fix of Japanese food (not because it serves extremely great food). On the one hand, the ramen is outrageously salty and they were often served soggy and overcooked. On the other hand, the unagi don was above average. The vinegar rice was well prepared and appetizing and the teriyaki sauce enhances the flavour of the unagi without being too overwhelming.
