The Chicken House - CINISI

I am a fan of grilled chicken. This chicken house is a deception, even using a real fire to roast it. It is run by an older lovely couple, chickens on the grill looks amazing, potatoes are ready to be packed... but... it all has a very peculiar smell, not pleasant. I detected tones of dried rosemary on potatoes chips {hardly could taste potato} and the chicken has also very strange smell and taste. I think it is due to species mixture.. for 1 chicken and potatoes {it goes together} we paid 10EUR. Dont feel like buying again.

Final day of our trip, recommended by our b&b owner. Wanted something simple chef Giuseppe offered some fish it was excellent, smoked swordfish, ceviche prawns etc followed by one ravioli dish we shared, we had one beer and a glass of house wine. All great until the bill for 75€ arrived. Would normally have paid more attention but we 're with two small tired children. I 'm sure the locals weren 't paying that for their chicken. A disapointing finish to an otherwise great trip to Sicily.

On our last night of our trip (just happend to be New Years Eve) we were looking for something quick to take back to our hotel to eat. Many places were closed..but the Chicken House was on our way back to our room so we decided why not? We asked for a whole roasted chicken- I think they were shocked. Then they said it came with fries, so ok! The chicken was very good, and there were enough fries for an army! All for 10 euros. Great comfort food, and the staff was great. They also serve pizza.

Pollo di ottima qualità ma soprattutto i proprietari sono amichevoli e molto professionali.
